ELITE CAR RENTAL FOR GOOD CAR HIRE TERMS CONDITIONS

DRIVER'S LICENSE

The hirer and/or authorised driver must have held a full and valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years up to and including the time of hire and that licence must bear no current endorsements during the last two years. A driving licence from the country of residence or an International Driver's Permit is generally acceptable, provided valid as above.

DRIVER

The hirer and/or authorised driver must be over 23 years of age and under 70 years of age. The hirer and/or authorised driver must also be in possession of a proper means of identification other than a driver's licence.

INSURANCE

A compulsory daily insurance charge is payable by the hirer. All our vehicles are insured but in all cases, the hirer is responsible for repairs arising from damage caused by carelessness.

CAR HIRE AGRREMENT

Self drive cars are hired subject to the company's standard form of agreement not withstanding the above conditions the company reserves the right to refuse a hirer at anytime without assigning any reason.

SECURITY

The vehicles must be locked when unattended. The vehicle must not be parked in a public area for long periods. The hirer is responsible for the security of the vehicle.

THEFT PROTECTION INSURANCE

The Hirer's liability for theft of the vehicle is automatically covered subject to the terms and conditions of the car hire contract.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER

The Hirer's liability for damage to the vehicle is automatically covered subject to the terms and conditions of the car hire contract. Damage to tyres, windscreen and underneath of the vehicle is not covered.

EXCESS LIABILITY WAIVER

Excess waiver is available for certain vehicles. This insurance cover protects the hirer/driver of having to pay any excess fees brought about by damage and /or loss to the vehicle.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Payments can also be made by charge cards i.e. Visa and Mastercard and the total cost of the rental will be charge on completion excluding fuel.

CHAUFFEUR SERVICES

Chauffeur services will be charged at US$ 10 per day inclusive of meals within Nairobi or Mombasa, between 06:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs. Overtime will be charged at US$ 10 for the next 5 hours till 00:00 hrs. Chauffeur services will be charged at US $ 18 per day inclusive of meals and accommodation, for all other places in Kenya between 06:00 hrs to 19:00hrs. Overtime will be charged at US$ 8 for the next 5 hours till 00:00 hrs.
